GREETINGS! Welcome to our website! We're Debbie and Andy, owners of Deep Creek Crystals and Gems and we're celebrating our fifth year of selling our own unique handmade jewelry and are excited about all the new changes that are happening. Let me give you a little background to how we got started.
Several years ago in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado, we were introduced to gemstone mining by one of the best in the business and the specimens we collected ignited a big buzz for us. We got the fever, so to speak, and began creating jewelry using the beautiful crystals and gems we mined, which has continued to evolve and grow.
It's all about the timing, as they say. In 1988, Andy became a GIA graduate gemologist where he went to school for colored stones as well as diamonds. So in combination with his education and our love of mining, we combined our talents together, both in artistry and creativity, and developed our own line of unique, hand crafted beaded jewelry where we specialize in facted stones.
We use a large assortment of faceted gemstones including collectors varieties that are not easily found on the market.. We offer extremely competitive prices! We use stones from all over the world and order in quantity which keeps our prices low. That way, we can pass on our savings to you!
Some of the faceted gemstones we use are: Topaz (london blue, white, sky blue, swiss blue, pink), Tourmaline (pink, green), Quartz ( lemon, prasiolite-green, smokey, rose, amethyst, citrine, ametrine), Yellow Labradorite, Garnet ( rhodolite, almandine, spessartite), Peridot, Spinel (black, red, pink), Emerald, Saphire ( yellow, blue, pink), Fluorite ( green, blue, aqua, purple) and many others.
We also provide many varieites and styles of necklaces featuring cabachon style center stones and compliment each peice with multiple varieties of materials in each peice to offer a uniqueness and originality that is not found anywhere else.
There are a million beaders out there creating beautiful jewelry, and we offer extremely competitive prices! We use only the best beading wire, consisting of seven strands with flexible stainless steel. We also double crimp each end to guarantee no breakages. There's nothing more frustrating than a whole necklace full of beads spilling to the floor because it wasn't secured tightly.
We also use quality lobster claw and toggle clasps, and sterling silver mountings for all our faceted stones that we mount ourselves.
